Zaira Zahirah

When I belly dance, I feel entranced into an ancient mysterious world rich with ambiance. I feel my dance is telling an ancient mystical tale that is longed by the heart to be told. Since I was a young girl, I have been in love with the art form of dance. I would pretend I was the mesmerizing Mata Hari dancing a hypnotic snake like dance or a passionate gypsy dancing and enchanting people with my swirling skirt. I took ballet dance and as young as a girl. Ballet did not touch my soul like Middle Eastern dance. I returned to my true love, Belly dance. I have participated in S.C.A. (society creative anachronism) events on Middle Eastern dance the past four years. I have taken several workshops on belly dance .In 2004 I started classes on belly dance at M.G.M. dance studio and have continued them there and at Ziva's Dance Studio. I am concentrating on perfecting my dance techniques.

My name, Zaira Zahirah, means blooming, shinning essence of rose. A flower can provoke powerful emotions, change the whole ambiance of a room and enlighten and heal with their enticing aromas. All women are beautiful flowers in the garden of life. Women of every age, shape, or color have their own unique dance of beauty. I am on an efflorescence lifetime adventure of well being. Mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally through the sacred gift of Middle Eastern dance. I have many enchanting and mesmerizing tales that I shall dance!!!..
